About Our Service
If you are using the Department of Conservation Acoustic Recorders (AR4), we can help analyze the data that you captured during your pekapeka/bat survey and provide you with a report that confirms the presence or absence of short/long tail bats at each site together with the number of passes per night. We can also prepare an online map with your findings and a spreadsheet in the format required by the Department of Conservation for the inclusion in the national database.
Easy to Use
Courier us a copy of your SD cards or use our web-based application to upload your files. We will send you a quote within 24 hours of receiving your data.
Transparent Pricing
You pay according to the amount of data that you send us, we charge by the number of files that we analyze. No need to pay for those nights or locations where no data was recorded!
Clear Reports
We provide you with a spreadsheet indicating the presence or absence of short or long tailed bats. If bats are present, we will calculate the number of passes per night during the survey period. We can also provide you an online/GPX map with the survey location and a spreadsheet that can be sent to the Department of Conservation for inclusion in the national database.
How Does The Service Work?
Get a Quote
If you have a count of how many files you have to analyze you already have an idea of the cost (see pricing below). If not, read the user manual to learn how to do it, or proceed to Step 2.
Send Us the Data
You can courier us a copy of your SD cards or you can upload your data via our web-based application. Choose one of our plans and we will provide you with a quote.
Review Results
We will provide you with the reports summarizing your findings. You can compare with previous year's results or with other survey data that you might have.
Look after the forest
If you found bats in your survey area, continue the protection work to allow them thrive!
Our Pricing Options
We can provide you with a summary of findings or we can prepare a more detailed report by mapping the areas where bats have been found (or not). Our price is based on the number of data files that you send us (approx $20 per 1000 data files, which adds to $40 per hour)
